Bakezori is a wandering slipper yokai from Japanese folklore, known for running around at night and making mischief with its noise.
In my take on the legend, the noise became so unbearable that the townspeople hired a yokai hunter to catch it.
This version depicts the Bakezori after it’s been captured—nailed to the wall as a warning.
The piece was sculpted in 3D, printed, and then hand-painted by the artist.
